Job summary

Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, seeks a Body Shop Prepper to prepare repaired and primed panels for painting. You will inspect panels, replace defective parts, and ensure clean, ready-to-paint surfaces in a production setting.

Hours are Mon-Fri, day shift. The role offers a production-based pay structure with a sign-on bonus for new hires and benefits as described. Previous body shop prep experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of body shop and/or prepping experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet Cox Automotive mobility standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect repaired and primed auto panels for proper body repairs and primer application.
• Replace or restore defective panels and other car components.
• Review repair orders or tracking labels.
• Mask and protect adjacent panels from scratches or damage before final sanding.
• Prepare repaired panels using abrasives, power tools and hand tools.
• Finish repairs in accordance with the repair order.
