Job summary

Cox Automotive USA’s Manheim division seeks an Auto Body Repair Technician (Flag) to prep repaired and primed panels for painting. You’ll inspect, replace, seal and finish panels, ensuring quality and accuracy for each job.

The role offers a day shift, Mon-Fri, with a production‑based pay model ($1.25–$25.00 per flag hour) and a $1,500 new-hire bonus; valid license and safety certifications required; pre-employment drug test applies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of body shop/prep experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and Cox Automotive Mobility minimum driving qualification standards.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid HAPS Paint Training Certification and respirator fit test documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect repaired and primed auto panels for proper body repairs and primer application.
• Replace or restore defective panels and other car components.
• Review repair orders or tracking labels.
• Mask and protect adjacent panels from scratches or damage before final sanding.
• Prepare properly repaired and primed panels using abrasives, power tools and hand tools.
• Avoid over-sanding or under-sanding refinish panels.
• Finish all repairs in accordance with repair order.
• Complete and submit the completed repair documentation.
• Clean and remove all dust and particles from the repair/refinish panels.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your manager or supervisor.
