Job summary

Lighthouse Buick GMC, Inc. is seeking an experienced Auto Body Painter for our collision repair team. You will refinish damaged body parts and vehicles in accordance with factory specifications and time standards, delivering high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Three years minimum of professional auto body painting experience in a collision repair setting.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must pass respirator medical evaluation and respirator fit test - per OSH.

Responsibilities

• Operates and uses body shop equipment safely.
• Masks and protects parts not to be painted.
• Mixes paint according to specifications.
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color.
• Paints surface using sprayer or brush as appropriate.
• Inspects painted units for quality of workmanship, noting runs, sags and unpainted areas.
• Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repair.
• Keeps work area clean.
• Maintains and wears all required safety PPE, including respirator, as recommended.
• Complies with laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and hazardous materials.
• Cooperates and assists other personnel in repair and prepping of vehicles.
• Understands and complies with regulations affecting body shop operations.
