Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Auto Body Painter in a collision repair or automotive refinishing environment.
• Strong understanding of automotive paint systems, refinishing techniques, and color matching.
• Experience using HVLP spray equipment and modern paint mixing systems.
• Ability to read repair orders and follow manufacturer repair and refinishing procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
• I-CAR or paint manufacturer certifications are considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles and components for paint by sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning surfaces.
• Mix and match paint colors using computerized and manual color-matching systems.
• Apply primers, base coats, clear coats, and specialty finishes using professional spray equipment.
• Perform blending techniques to achieve seamless paint transitions and OEM-quality finishes.
• Inspect painted surfaces for quality, consistency, and defects, completing polishing and refinishing as required.
• Work closely with body technicians and the production team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
• Maintain paint booth cleanliness, equipment, and tools in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and shop standards.
• Follow all safety procedures related to paint materials, hazardous waste disposal, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with custom paint projects, restorations, and specialty refinishing as required.
• Maintain accurate records of paint materials used and communicate any supply or equipment needs to management.
• Take pride in delivering exceptional workmanship while meeting production deadlines.

Position Summary
