Northside Auto Group is seeking a Body Shop Estimator in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on appraising vehicle damage and estimating repair costs for insurance claims.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of related experience, and be capable of reading and interpreting safety rules and manuals. Valid driver’s license and manufacturer training are preferred.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED, 1–2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Examines damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage.
• Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
• Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts such as bumpers, fenders, and doors.
• Evaluates practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident.
• Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
• Estimates cost of repainting, converting to special purposes, or customizing undamaged vehicles.
• Helps maintain relationships with insurance adjusters and customers to encourage referrals.
• Follows up on parts department orders to ensure parts availability and timely completion.
• Monitors progress and completion of assigned vehicles, ensuring proper repair procedures.
• Checks quality of completed work and documents all steps.
