Job summary

Asbury is seeking a dynamic Body Shop Estimator at Courtesy Toyota of Brandon-Collision in Brandon, FL. The role involves appraising vehicle damage for insurance claims or customer repairs, and coordinating with insurance adjusters to ensure quality work.

Responsibilities include damage inspections, cost estimation, work order creation, and maintaining customer rapport while upholding service standards. Automotive experience and estimating ability are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must have automotive experience; estimating experience preferred.
• Automotive certifications or a degree are a plus.
• Must be 18 years of age or older; valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test).

Responsibilities

• Ascertain body damage by inspections to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage.
• Develop/prepare estimates by costing parts, supplies, labor and deductibles for repairs.
• Obtain insurance estimates by contacting insurers and reviewing estimates with adjusters.
• Prepare work orders describing repairs, obtain approvals, and enter into management system.
• Explain estimates to customers and maintain rapport during vehicle return timelines.
• Maintain high-quality repairs and minimize comebacks.
• Conduct spot checks on completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
• Maintain body shop records of repairs and actions.
• Update knowledge through educational opportunities and training.
• Enhance body shop reputation through excellent customer service.
• Remain open to opportunities for growth within automotive estimating.
• Support ongoing learning and skill development in the shop.
