Job summary

Leonard Truck Outfitters in New Bern, NC is seeking an Installation Technician to install aftermarket truck parts and accessories on customer vehicles. You will perform pre- and post-install checks, mount wheels, wire electronics, and ensure safety and quality while supporting multiple Leonard locations as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and proven installer experience. Expect travel to other locations and ongoing training and safety focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification from a vocational school or apprenticeship preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as an automotive parts installer or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Installs aftermarket automotive parts and accessories on customers’ vehicles per specifications (beds liners, running boards, tonneau covers, hitches, grills, toolboxes).
• Performs pre- and post-install quality checks to ensure proper functioning.
• Mounts and balances wheels and tires and aligns as needed.
• Installs lighting systems for improved visibility.
• Troubleshoots and resolves installation issues.
• Connects/wires electronic components (backup cameras, GPS, alarms).
• Provides excellent customer service and advice on options.
• Lifts, transports, and travels to other Leonard locations as needed.
