Job summary

Leonard Truck Outfitters in Fayetteville, NC, is seeking an Installation Technician based at the Fayetteville West store. You will install aftermarket parts such as truck covers, accessories, spray-in liners, and window tints on commercial vehicles, reporting to the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification from a vocational school or apprenticeship preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as an automotive parts installer or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Installs aftermarket automotive parts and accessories on customers’ vehicles as per specifications (e.g., bed liners, running boards, tonneau covers, trailer hitches).
• Conducts pre- and post-install quality checks to ensure proper functioning.
• Mounts and balances wheels and tires, aligning them as needed.
• Installs lighting systems and auxiliary lighting for improved visibility.
• Troubleshoots and resolves installation issues and electrical problems.
• Connects and wires components such as back-up cameras, GPS, and alarms.
• Fabricates custom parts and brackets when needed for installations.
• Travels to other Leonard locations to provide support as required.
• Maintains accurate paperwork for parts, labor hours, and instructions.
