Job summary

The New England Center for Children in Southborough, MA is hiring for a Direct Care & Education role. You will provide instruction and care using ABA principles, build relationships with students, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design individualized educational programs.

Join a passionate team, communicate regularly with parents, and support skill development in areas such as communication, ADLs, vocational skills, and adaptive physical education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or enrollment in a 4-year program required.
• Compassion, patience and dedication to help autistic students who engage in challenging behaviors.
• Valid Driver's License with personal vehicle.
• American Red Cross CPR certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• NECC CALM training including de-escalation and medication administration training.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and care using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
• Build positive relationships and celebrate every success.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized educational programs.
• Maintain consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and goals.
• Teach and support skill development in communication, ADLs, vocational and pre-employment skills, and adaptive physical education.
• Receive paid training and coaching.
• Promote a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment in classroom and residential settings.

Salary is determined based on individual experience, and the range may not include differentials which are based on team assignment.The salary range posted reflects the starting salary for the position and does not represent the maximum potential earnings.
