Job summary

Colonial Early Learning Center is seeking a Paraprofessional (Teacher Assistant) to support students with special needs in the Autistic Support program. You will assist in planning activities and collaborate with the classroom team to meet individual goals in a safe, inclusive environment.

A high school diploma and a passing IU20 assessment are required or two years of college credits may qualify. Applicants should be able to lift up to 40 lbs, follow safety protocols, and maintain

Qualifications

• High school diploma with passing IU20 assessment to become highly qualified.
• Two years of college or 48 college credits may qualify via local assessment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Basic computer skills including email and web-based education software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning activities and events to engage students.
• Support teacher to achieve curriculum objectives and goals.
• Provide instructional and behavioral support across classrooms.
• Maintain student and classroom records with attention to detail.
