Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 is seeking a Paraprofessional (Teacher Assistant) to support the Autistic Support program at Clearview Elementary. You will assist the teacher in planning activities that engage students and help meet curriculum goals in a positive classroom setting.

Ideal candidates bring teamwork, strong communication, confidentiality and basic computer skills, with flexibility to reassign across classrooms. The position offers benefits and a 188-day salary schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with passing IU20 assessment to become highly qualified.
• Individuals without two years of college or 48 credits may become highly qualified by taking the local assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning special activities and events to make learning engaging.
• Work with the teacher to accomplish curriculum objectives and goals.
• Develop activities that provide individualized learning experiences.
• Support students’ interests, needs and development in a safe, positive environment.
