Job summary

Easton Area High School seeks a Paraprofessional (Teacher Assistant) to support students with special needs, promote academic and daily living skills, and foster social and emotional development. You will work with a teacher to implement individualized learning activities in a safe classroom environment.

You will have opportunities to contribute to planning activities, maintain confidential records, and advance via IU20 assessment to become highly qualified.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with passing IU20 assessment to become highly qualified.
• Individuals without two years of college or 48 college credits may qualify via local assessment.
• Experience supporting students with special needs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning special activities and events to engage students.
• Collaborate with the teacher to meet curriculum objectives and goals.
• Develop and implement individualized learning activities under supervision.
• Maintain student and classroom records with attention to accuracy and confidentiality.
