The Autism Aide at Valley Behavioral Health Incorporated provides educational and developmental support to children with autism in a classroom setting. You will work with the treatment team to apply behavioral techniques, support communication and independence, and help children practice skills for success at school, home, and community.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification may be required post hire.
• Safety Care certification may be required post hire.
• Driving positions require a current driver’s license and must be 21 years old.

Responsabilités

• Assists clients with participation in the classroom, skills groups, and educational support as assigned.
• Assists the treatment team in providing academic structure through behavioral techniques and procedures.
• Assists in de-escalating clients when necessary or intervening when the behavior of an individual poses a threat of harm to themselves or others.
• Supports client health by assisting with hygiene responsibilities as required.
• Follows agency documentation policies for all phases of treatment, including assessments, care plans, treatment transitions and discharge plans.
