Job summary

Anova Education seeks a Leave Replacement, Special Education Teacher to work with Autism students in a 10-month assignment in New Jersey. Location to be determined; the position requires NJ certification and supports data-driven instruction using ABA.

Ideal candidates will be familiar with VB-MAPP, ABLLS, AFLS or be willing to train. Strong communication skills and a positive learning environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Appropriate New Jersey Certification required: Pre K-3, K-6 and Teacher of Students with Disabilities OR Teacher (TOSD) of the Handicap (TOH)
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
• Successful Criminal History Clearance
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization

Responsibilities

• Provide daily instruction to Autism students per Board approved curriculum.
• Apply ABA methodology; collect and graph data.
• Familiarity with VBMAPP, ABLLS and AFLS a plus; willing to train the right candidate.
• Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
