Job summary

Atlantic County Special Services School District seeks a Special Education Teacher specialized in Autism to join a dedicated team. Under the principal's supervision, you will implement district-approved curriculum, document student progress, and provide a safe learning environment aligned with IEP goals.

You will assess students, participate in PPTs, develop IEPs, and coordinate with staff and families to support outcomes. NJ certification and a Master's in Special Education are required.

Qualifications

Experience applying Special Education principles and IEP processes.
Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
Familiarity with data collection and progress monitoring systems.
Knowledge of federal and state education laws and requirements.
Strong communication with students, parents, and PPT members.

Responsibilities

Assess students to identify learning needs and plan actions.
Participate in PPTs and develop IEPs for students.
Support implementation of IEPs and behavior plans.
Coordinate with staff to determine student needs and services.
Maintain accurate student records and report progress.
