Job summary

The Hawaii State Department of Education seeks a Human Services Professional IV to provide an integrated system of program support for school teams and families of students with autism spectrum disorders across the Maui District.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12 credit hours in behavioral sciences or related field.
• Ability to write clear reports and interpret complex material.
• Experience with ASD student services and multidisciplinary teams.
• Possession of a valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Servicing students' IEPs including parent education and training.
• Lead and direct paraprofessionals and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide training in autism-specific areas such as applied behavior analysis.
• Consult and collaborate with families and school teams to support learning.
• Manage complex cases with increasing responsibility.
