Job summary

Bloomington Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional for the RISE Autism Program at Ridgeview Elementary School. You will provide behavioral and academic support to students and assist with daily living activities under supervision of licensed staff.

The position offers roughly 6.1 hours per day, about 180 days per year, with wages in the Class III range of $23.06–$27.15 per hour and wage placement based on experience. Strong collaboration with case managers is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 60 credits post-secondary education or a passing score on the Para Pro Exam
• PCA Certification (or the ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with licensed and other staff to assist students with academic, behavioral/social/emotional, instruction, and daily living skills.
• Assist in implementation of assigned tasks including instruction and assisting students academically
• Monitor student's skills of independence and implementation of classroom of individual behavior management programs
• Assist with daily living activities
• Communicate student's progress with case managers
