Job summary

Bloomington Public Schools is seeking Substitute Paraprofessionals for the RISE Autism Program at Ridgeview Elementary School. The role supports students with academic, behavioral, and daily living skills under supervision, collaborating with licensed staff, case managers, and other team members.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, 60 credits post-secondary or Para Pro exam, and PCA certification (or ability to obtain).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 60 credits post-secondary education or passing Para Pro Exam.
• PCA Certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with licensed and other staff to assist students with academic, behavioral/social/emotional, instruction, and daily living skills.
• Assist in implementation of assigned tasks including instruction and assisting students academically.
• Monitor student's skills of independence and implementation of classroom or individual behavior management programs.
• Communicate student's progress with case managers.
