Lifeworks is hiring Autism Spectrum Disorder & Mental Health Technicians to work in homes, vocational settings and communities to positively impact adults with autism. You will gain immersive clinical experience alongside professionals addressing neurodevelopmental and mental health needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, ABA, special ed or related field preferred; high school diploma required.
• Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and ability to work with people of varying strengths and abilities.
• Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgement in duties.
• Must be at least 20 years old to apply.
• Experience with individuals with ASD and their families preferred, especially in vocational training.

Responsibilities

• Provide managed care, support and training for consumers in vocation, daily living skills and community integration.
• Ensure safety and well‑being while promoting independence and respecting choices.
• Plan and organize daily activities to optimise programming for consumers.
• Aid in modeling positive alternatives to negative behavior.
• Protect consumers from physical and emotional harm.
• Handle emergencies such as injuries and acting-out situations.
• Model pro-social, mediation and self-management skills.
