Lifeworks is hiring an Autism & Mental Health Technician to work in homes, vocational settings, and communities with adults on the autism spectrum. You will gain immersive clinical experience alongside professionals addressing neurodevelopmental and mental health needs.

The role offers paid training, mentorship, flexible hours, and supervision hours for BCBA/BCaBA candidates, with opportunities to advance in healthcare, psychology, behavior analysis, or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Sensitivity in relating to diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Ability to perform with initiative and independent judgment.
• Must be at least 20 years old to apply.
• Experience with individuals with ASD adults and families preferred; vocational training experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide managed care, support and training in vocation, daily living skills, community integration, communication, social skills and wellness.
• Ensure safety and well-being while promoting independence and respecting choices.
• Plan and organize daily activities to optimize programming.
• Aid in management and modeling of pro-social, acceptable behaviors.
• Protect consumers from physical and emotional harm.
• Handle emergencies such as injuries or acting-out situations.
• Role model pro-social, mediation and self-management skills.
