Lifeworks is hiring a 3rd shift Autism & Mental Health Technician to work in homes, vocational settings, and communities with adults on the autism spectrum. You will gain immersive clinical experience alongside professionals addressing neurodevelopmental and mental health needs daily.

We offer paid training, mentorship, flexible hours, and supervision hours for BCBA/BCaBA candidates as part of career development in healthcare, psychology, or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, ABA, Special Education or related field preferred; high school diploma required.
• Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and ability to work with diverse groups.
• Ability to perform responsibilities with initiative and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide managed care, support and training for consumers in vocation, daily living, community integration and wellness.
• Ensure safety and well-being while promoting independence and respecting choices.
• Plan and organize daily activities to optimize programming.
• Aid in modeling socially acceptable alternatives to negative behavior.
• Protect consumers from physical and emotional harm.
• Handle emergencies such as injuries and acting-out situations.
• Role model pro-social, mediation and self-management skills.
