Job summary

Centria Autism in Chesapeake, VA is seeking enthusiastic Registered Behavior Technicians to implement individualized behavior intervention plans under a BCBA. You will work one-on-one with children, teaching communication, social and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.

Ideal candidates are patient, compassionate, and team-oriented. Training is provided; CPR/First Aid and TB testing may be required.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of onboarding

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under supervision of a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Help reduce interfering behaviors and support skill acquisition.
• Be patient, compassionate, and team-oriented in a dynamic environment.
• Provide training and support to families as needed.
