Job summary

OASIS NC in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a full-time, on-site position. You will plan and deliver individualized and small-group instruction for students with autism, using evidence-based strategies and accommodations.

You will collaborate with families, paraprofessionals, therapists, and other staff to support academic, social, and behavioral growth, while maintaining documentation and participating in meetings to ensure a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Autism and Special Education practices for diverse learners.
• Ability to plan differentiation and manage inclusive classrooms.
• Strong communication with families and team members.
• State teaching license or eligibility for Special Education certification.
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom supporting social-emotional learning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification and behavior support experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver individualized and small-group instruction for students with autism.
• Develop academic and social-emotional lessons; monitor progress and collect data.
• Collaborate with families, paras, therapists, and staff to support growth.
• Maintain documentation, participate in team meetings, support transitions and routines.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
