Job summary

The McCarton Foundation in New York is looking for a Special Education Therapy Assistant to work one-on-one with children ages 2-3 with autism. You will gain practical experience under the supervision of a Special Education Teacher while also having the opportunity to enhance your career in Early Childhood Education, ABA, Speech, and Occupational Therapy.

This role offers a supportive team environment, full-time consistent hours, and comprehensive training. Competitive pay starts at $16.50 per hour, with the opportunity to earn up to $20 per hour within your first year.

Qualifications

• Able to work entire shift Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm.
• Must provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children with autism ages 2-3.
• Monitor the safety of a child during activities.
• Collaborate with Special Education Teacher and clinicians.

Skills

Passionate about working one-on-one with children

Ability to lift 40 lbs

Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)

Education

High School Diploma or GED
