Job summary

WORK Inc. is seeking a Community Training Specialist to support 4 individuals with Autism who are moving into a new home in the Kingston area, near RT.3 and Rt. 44.

This role focuses on promoting social inclusion, providing mentorship, and empowering the quality of life of a young adult. The position requires one year of experience in the human service field or eligible internships/volunteering, plus a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License.

Qualifications

• One year experience in the human service field; internships and volunteer opportunities can be substituted for work experience.
• Massachusetts Driver’s License required.
• Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in developing opportunities for individual’s to be a part of their local community
• Provide positive role modeling and mentorship
• Preparation and implementation of program goals, individuals service plans, progress notes and treatment plans.
• Nurturing a positive relationship with individuals, families, guardians and service providers
• Providing for appropriate healthcare, medical and dental needs and promoting healthy lifestyle choices
