Formación

• Valid teaching license in Special Education.
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience with students with emotional and behavioral challenges in educational settings.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and applicable laws/regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with students, families and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and supporting students with diverse needs.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Create a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and adjusting instructional methods as needed.
• Collaborate with special education staff, counselors, and other professionals to support students' emotional and behavioral development.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavioral issues.
• Implement behavioral management techniques and interventions to promote positive behavior and conflict resolution.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in special education.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral incidents in compliance with school policies.
• Actively contribute to a positive school culture and community by participating in school events and initiatives.

Educación

Bachelor's degree in Special Education
