Qualifications

• Valid Special Education license.
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience with students with emotional/behavioral challenges in educational settings.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and applicable laws/regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and supporting diverse learners.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet students' needs.
• Create a positive and structured classroom environment to promote engagement.
• Utilize diverse instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
• Monitor and assess student progress; provide timely feedback and adjust methods.
• Collaborate with special education staff, counselors, and other professionals to support development.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding progress and behavior.
• Implement behavioral management techniques and interventions to promote positive behavior.
• Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and incidents in accordance with school policies.
• Contribute to a positive school culture by participating in events and initiatives.
