Job summary

Anderson Center for Autism in Staatsburg, NY is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide person-centered nursing services for autistic students and residents, including medication administration, health monitoring, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will document assessments, notify physicians of changes, support daily living needs, uphold infection control, participate in training, and contribute to continuity of care with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license in good standing.
• Experience with individuals with autism/developmental disabilities preferred.
• Ability to complete orientation and maintain qualifications.
• Knowledge of infection control and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health and respond to medical or behavioral changes.
• Document assessments and communicate with team.
• Notify physicians of changes in condition as needed.
• Administer medications per physician orders and agency standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain professional communication with families and staff.
