Job summary

Dallas - Metric is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our autism treatment center. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to children, adolescents, and adults with autism, coordinating with behavior analysts, therapists, physicians, and families to promote health, safety, independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain it within the required timeframe.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or pediatric populations preferred.
  • Strong assessment, communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging or emergency situations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing person-centered, trauma-informed, and respectful care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care and health monitoring for individuals receiving autism treatment services.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with physician orders and organizational policies.
  • Monitor vital signs, health status, behavioral changes, and potential medical concerns.
  • Develop and maintain individualized nursing care plans.
  • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and coordinate emergency care when necessary.
  • Communicate changes in health status with families, caregivers, physicians, and the treatment team.
  • Collaborate with behavior analysts, therapists, educators, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Support individuals with complex medical, developmental, sensory, and behavioral needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and medication records.
  • Educate caregivers and staff regarding health, medication, first aid, infection prevention, and other nursing-related needs.
  • Follow infection-control, safety, HIPAA, medication-administration, and other applicable standards.
  • Participate in treatment-team meetings and contribute nursing expertise to individualized care planning.
  • Provide compassionate, respectful care that recognizes each individual's strengths, preferences, communication style, and dignity.

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our autism treatment center. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to children, adolescents, and/or adults with autism and related developmental needs. This role works closely with behavioral health professionals, therapists, caregivers, physicians, and families to promote each individual's health, safety, independence, and quality of life.

Requirements
