Job summary

Centria Autism seeks enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism under the guidance of a BCBA, employing evidence-based approaches to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient demeanor, and the ability to handle physical tasks as clients may move or require support. Training is provided to be ready to contribute from day one.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age and a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test (if you haven't had one in the last year).
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Candidates must obtain an Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Demonstrate patience and teamwork in a dynamic classroom setting.
