Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behaviour Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism under the supervision of a BCBA. You will implement individualized intervention plans and use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviours.

The role emphasizes patience, teamwork, and a willingness to obtain required certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age; high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid cert and TB test.
• Background check required.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Eligible to obtain Registered Behavior Technician certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behaviour intervention plans under BCBA supervision.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviours and support child development.
• Move, stand, walk, sit, bend, squat or lift as needed to assist clients.
