Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Special Education.
• SC State Board of Education Certification in Special Education with endorsements.
• Experience with children with multiple disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement lesson plans aligned with Pattison’s curriculum and standards.
• Deliver instruction based on IEPs; adapt methods and materials to diverse learners.
• Collaborate with parents, admins, and professionals to develop personalized IEPs.
• Collaborate with speech, OT, behavior specialists and team members.
• Supervise teaching assistants and classroom staff.
• Utilize behavior management strategies and data-informed decisions.
• Support AAC devices, visual schedules, and sensory supports in class.
• Maintain records, manage resources, and ensure safety requirements.
