Qualifications

• Reads and interprets safety rules and procedures.
• Writes routine reports and correspondence.
• Speaks effectively before groups of students and parents.
• Presents information in one-on-one and small groups.

Responsibilities

• Implements strategies to reinforce positive student behavior with teachers.
• Monitors safety of students in various settings; uses Behavior Intervention Plan.
• Provides behavior intervention using Handle with Care techniques.
• Maintains a behavior log and documents student progress.
• Delivers instruction aligned with IEP, health plans, and classroom plans.
• Assists in charting/displaying student performance data.
• Assists students with computer applications and assistive tech.
• Supervises study areas, cafeterias, halls, and bus loading areas.
• Follows DE/board health training and performs related duties.
