Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Pass the teacher/paraprofessional assessment or possess an associate degree or higher.
Have 48 hours of college with six hours of Math and nine hours of English.

Responsibilities

Implements strategies that reinforce positive student behavior and works with the classroom teacher to monitor safety.
Collects data and maintains a behavior log as determined by the Behavior Intervention Plan.
Provides intensive behavior intervention using Handle with Care training and supports students with exceptional needs.
Maintains confidentiality of student information and adheres to FERPA requirements.
Performs duties to support students with disabilities in inclusive, resource, and self-contained classrooms.
