Job summary

Caddo Parish Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional-Behavior/Autism Classroom and/or Additional Support to assist teachers in elementary or secondary classrooms. You will help implement behavior supports, monitor student safety, and maintain behavior logs to document progress.

Responsibilities include applying Individual Education Programs, assisting with health plans, and supporting students with disabilities across inclusive, resource and self-contained classrooms.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet one of the listed requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret documents; write routine reports and present information.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Implements strategies that reinforce positive student behavior and works with the teacher.
• Maintains a behavior log and collects data as required by the Behavior Intervention Plan.
• Provides intensive behavior intervention and assists with safety and health procedures for students with disabilities.
