Job summary

Teya Development seeks an Authorized Wildlife Biologist to conduct wildlife surveys, monitor sensitive habitats, and support environmental compliance in Ridgecrest and Mojave Desert ecosystems. USFWS Approved Biologist capable of remote fieldwork and data collection is required.

The role involves extensive fieldwork, GPS/GIS data handling, and collaboration with regulatory agencies and landowners to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in wildlife biology, ecology, zoology, environmental science, natural resources, or related field.
• USFWS and CA DFW Approved Biologist requirements must be met.
• Minimum two years of professional terrestrial biology field experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wildlife field surveys for mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and special-status species.
• Identify species via visual observations, tracks, scat, burrows, calls, or other indicators.
• Monitor sensitive habitats, nesting sites, and breeding activity; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare monitoring reports and use GPS/tablets/maps for data collection and reporting.
• Install and maintain remote cameras or acoustic monitoring devices; coordinate with project teams.
