Job summary

Alliance Health Services is seeking an Insurance Eligibility Coordinator for a full-time, in-person role. You will handle patient insurance authorizations, verify coverage, and liaise with billing to resolve denials, all within a home-health context.

The position requires at least 1 year in an insurance coordination role, strong communication skills, and proficiency with EMR and practice management systems. Compensation ranges from $21 to $25 per hour, with standard benefits and in-person work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in an insurance benefits/coordinator role, preferably in home health.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to follow scripts and submit reports.
• Strong record-keeping, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Submit authorization requests to payers via forms, portals, or other means.
• Follow up to ensure timely turnaround and approval of requests.
• Verify insurance eligibility and contact patients/departments for issues.
• Assist billing with claims issues due to denials and authorizations.
• Collaborate with clinical teams and referral sources on authorization needs.
• Maintain progress/tracking reports on outstanding authorizations.
• Collect and document demographic, insurance, and financial information.
• Negotiate payment reimbursement with patients and third parties.
