Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and manages a cross-functional, fully integrated planning process including make-versus-buy, capacity planning, scheduling, inventory and cost elements.
• Performs analysis of customer demand, sales forecasts and historical material usage to build and execute make-to-order and build-to-forecast plans.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams to develop best-cost production planning strategies to meet demand.
• Establishes and implements methods to support inventory forecasting, purchasing and material control.
• Schedules production by monitoring inventories, progress and factors affecting timelines.
• Ensures accuracy of inventory counts and works with Finance to identify discrepancies and take corrective action.
• Develops and executes sourcing strategies to meet growth and sourcing requirements.
• Manages supplier relationships to meet cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Establishes systems to evaluate and report supplier performance via scorecards.
• Coordinates with quality, engineering, machining and assembly to ensure 100% on-time delivery and address issues.
• Represents materials on corporate task force teams and manages department budget and resources.
