Applied Materials is seeking a Program Manager, Materials Planning in Austin, TX to own material planning for products and parts with complex demand. You will validate demand with customers, balance supply and inventory, and drive forecast updates when signals are real.

This role involves collaboration across Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Customer Support, with leadership of a small working group and no direct reports.

Competenze

• Experience in materials planning, supply chain planning, demand planning, manufacturing operations, product lifecycle management, engineering, or program management.
• Experience in semiconductor, electronics, or another complex manufacturing environment is helpful but not required.
• Comfort with data analysis and reporting tools such as SAP or Oracle, Kinaxis, Tableau or Power BI, and advanced Excel.
• Exposure to demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory management, or lifecycle transitions.
• Experience leading cross functional work without formal authority.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, operations, business, or related field.

• Own material planning activities so parts availability matches customer demand.
• Validate demand changes with customers and business teams and update forecasts when signals are real.
• Balance supply, demand, inventory levels, and commitments; adjust planning assumptions as needed.
• Work with large datasets to surface demand shifts and risks before they become problems.
• Lead resolution of planning exceptions and conduct root cause investigations.
• Drive parts availability supporting installed base performance and customer uptime.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, and Customer Support; coordinate with regional teams.
• Communicate status clearly to stakeholders and influence outcomes without direct authority.
