The City of Austin's Airport is seeking an Airport Field Maintenance Supervisor to oversee Landside ground maintenance staff and ensure safe, compliant operations at AUS. This role supervises crews, coordinates maintenance of buildings and systems, and manages sub-contractors while supporting budgeting and procedures.

Purpose:
Under limited supervision, this position directs the activities of professional maintenance personnel and/or crews responsible for performing maintenance of the airport campus and systems, ensuring safe and secure operations.
Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities including selection, training, evaluation, and recommendation for dismissal.
Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent, plus five (5) years of experience in a field related to the job, including two (2) years of experience which were in a lead/supervisory capacity.
Applicable licenses and/or certifications may be required.
Light. Tasks performed with lightweight materials or using a force equal to lifting up to twenty (20) pounds.
This position provides supervision for Landside ground maintenance staff. Inspects building and infrastructure for compliance with codes, specifications, and safety ordinances. Oversees staff responsible for the operation and maintenance of systems and buildings. Oversees and monitors sub-contractors including contract management. Assists in developing the operating budget for the division. Develop and revises operating procedures. Trains personnel in performance of job tasks. Reads profiles and blueprints. Pulls permits. Tracks staff licensing and certifications ensuring they remain active. Assists in the maintenance of parts inventory. Facilitates and oversees the random drug testing of staff.
$71,630-$90,980 annually
This position requires a Current Commercial Driver License, Minimum Class B License, or a Class A Commercial Driver's License. City of Austin employees that promote or transfer into driving required positions cannot have more than eight City Driver
