As a Meat Cutter, you'll help provide a well-stocked and well-maintained department while providing superior customer service. You'll prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product daily, maintaining all department and food safety/sanitation standards.

Job Responsibilities

Production / Food Service

• Cut, trim, bone meat for display or as ordered, following company standards
• Operate equipment such as electric grinder, saw, knife sharpener, tenderizer, slicer
• Weigh, wrap, label product packages for display; rotate product as needed
• Rotate product in meat cooler; ensure proper storage practices
• Use MCS technology for production tracking
• Assist customers with product questions
• Scan items using Telxon for production
• Assist in technical areas as needed

Food Safety / Sanitation

• Clean and sanitize display cases; operate and maintain equipment properly
• Comply with food safety and sanitation standards
• Follow department SOPs, store procedures, and regulations

Customer Service

• Provide superior customer service
• Assist customers with product questions and selections

Candidate Background

• Minimum age 18
• 1+ years of related experience/training
• Completion of power jack training

Candidate Skills

• Knowledge of product rotation, sanitation, shrink awareness, MS Outlook (Word, Excel)
• Meat-cutting skills (saw, grinder)
• Customer service and communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Function in a fast-paced environment with detailed tasks
• Work with Customers, attentive to their needs
• Lift and carry 40-60 lbs
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, push/pull, grasp frequently
• Exposed to moving parts, cold, chemicals, and humid conditions occasionally
