Job summary

The United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Washington is seeking an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) for the Criminal Division's Asset Forfeiture Unit in Seattle, WA. A successful candidate will perform legal research, draft pleadings, and help direct investigations as part of a high‑intensity team. Required: J.D.

degree and active bar membership; U.S. citizenship. Preferred: at least five years of post‑J.D.

Qualifications

• Must possess a J.D. degree and be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction).
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ideal: 5+ years of post-J.D. litigation experience; asset forfeiture/financial investigations experience preferred.
• Ability to conduct advanced legal research and write effectively.

Responsibilities
