Job summary

The Mansfield City School District is seeking an Auditorium Manager for the 2026-2027 school year. This supplemental role oversees scheduling, safety, and operation of the school auditorium for school and approved community events outside the regular duties. The manager serves as the primary contact for auditorium use and ensures timely setup, operation, and teardown.

Reports to Building Principal. Supplemental 3% of base salary; assignment reviewed annually and aligned with the event calendar

Auditorium Manager supplemental position open for the 2026-2027 school year.

Overview

The Auditorium Manager is responsible for the scheduling, coordination, supervision, and operational readiness of the school's auditorium for school-sponsored and approved community events outside the employee's regular contracted duties. The Auditorium Manager serves as the primary point of contact for auditorium use, ensuring that the facility is prepared, operated safely, and restored following each event.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the use and scheduling of the school auditorium for curricular, extracurricular, and approved community events.
  • Meet with event sponsors, directors, coaches, advisors, and administrators to determine facility and event requirements.
  • Oversee auditorium setup and ensure the facility is prepared for performances, assemblies, meetings, ceremonies, and special events.
  • Coordinate with custodial, maintenance, audiovisual, security, and other support staff as necessary to meet event needs.
  • Serve as the on-site facility manager during assigned events to ensure operations run safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with district policies regarding facility use, occupancy limits, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
  • Conduct pre-event and post-event inspections to verify the condition of the auditorium and report maintenance or repair needs.
  • Oversee proper opening, securing, and closing of the facility before and after events.
  • Monitor the care and appropriate use of auditorium furnishings, stage equipment, curtains, seating, and related facilities.
  • Maintain an event calendar and communicate scheduling changes with appropriate school personnel.
  • Assist with the coordination of facility rentals in accordance with district policies, when assigned.
  • Supervise student workers, volunteers, and event support personnel as appropriate.
  • The Athletic Department and the Facilities office will coordinate permit inquiries with the auditorium manager.
  • Maintain accurate records related to auditorium usage, facility concerns, and event support.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal or Activities Director within the scope of the supplemental assignment.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated organizational and event management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities and communicate effectively with staff, students, and community organizations.
  • Knowledge of auditorium operations, event logistics, and facility safety practices.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and respond effectively during live events.
  • Ability to supervise students, volunteers, and support personnel.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other times necessary to support the school event calendar.
Terms of Employment
  • Supplemental (extra-duty) assignment.
  • Compensation in accordance with the Board-approved supplemental salary schedule.
  • Assignment is reviewed annually and is separate from the employee's regular contract.
  • Work schedule is based on the annual school event calendar and approved facility usage.

Terms of Employment: Per the Mansfield City Schools Board of Education/Mansfield School Employees Association Negotiated Agreement.
