Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, or taxation is required.
• Master's degree in accounting, auditing, or taxation is favorable.
• A currently valid CPA license is preferred for senior levels.
• One year of professional experience in accounting/auditing is expected for higher grades.

Responsibilities

• Perform examinations and appraisals of accounting records and financial affairs of public, for profit, and non-profit organizations to ensure compliance with laws, rules, and contracts.
• Research the organization to determine purpose, funds involved, and applicable regulations, including Single Audit considerations.
• Review SEFA and address deficiencies or findings with program funding teams for timely corrective actions.
• Apply auditing standards to assess going concern, internal controls, and program efficiency.
• Assist in scoping audits, planning activities, and scheduling audit tasks and timelines.
• Conduct entrance and exit conferences with organization representatives and discuss audit findings.
• Lead auditing teams when in charge and perform other duties as assigned.
