Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Auditor 1 in the Bureau of Audits, Liquor Control Board Operations Review to strengthen financial oversight across the Commonwealth. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and teamwork, helping you grow key audit skills while contributing to important review projects.

Current college students within 6 months of bachelor’s degree are encouraged to apply!

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Financial Programs Trainee or equivalent Federal Government/ Commonwealth job title.
• Four years of accounting and/or auditing experience; and fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which includes fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Audit Preparation: Develop understanding of PLCB functions and auditing practices.
• Interview Support: Travel to locations to gather information for audits.
• Data Analysis: Use software to compile, interpret, and analyze data for audits.
• Fieldwork Tasks: Test transactions, review records, and observe operations for compliance.
• Documentation Work: Prepare audit records and written materials supporting findings.
• Policy Adherence: Follow procedures, guidelines, and safety expectations.
