Responsibilities

• Review departmental records to gather tax history and background information.
• Contact taxpayers or representatives to schedule audits and discuss procedures.
• Observe business operations to understand activities and determine audit needs.
• Examine financial records to identify accurate tax liabilities and verify remittance.
• Prepare schedules, narratives, and audit forms that support clear and complete audit reports.
