Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Auditor 1 to support audits for the Bureau of Audits, Liquor Control Board, Operations Review Unit. The role emphasizes training, hands-on fieldwork, and teamwork to strengthen financial oversight across the Commonwealth.

Current college students near bachelor’s completion are encouraged to apply. The position is home headquartered with travel within Pennsylvania and a state vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Financial Programs Trainee or equivalent.
• Four years of accounting and/or auditing experience and fifteen college credits in accounting.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training including fifteen accounting/auditing credits.

Responsibilities

• Audit Preparation: Understand PLCB functions, auditing practices, and office procedures.
• Interview Support: Travel to locations to meet staff and gather information.
• Data Analysis: Use software to compile, interpret, and analyze data for audits.
• Fieldwork Tasks: Test transactions, review records, observe operations for policy compliance.
• Documentation Work: Prepare organized audit records and written materials.
• Policy Adherence: Follow procedures, guidelines, and safety expectations.
