SQF Lead Auditor USA

We are working with a Certification Body that support's clients nation-wide in food safety & quality, support sustainable development, improve margins, and protect brands. Their auditors have the industry and business expertise to perform food audits against chosen criteria and code of practice, and they are looking to expand the Food Safety Audit team.

Are you a third party SQF/GSFI lead auditor, with an active audit log, across a number of categories?

As a Food Safety Auditor/Sr. Auditor, you will act as a Lead Auditor in more than one standard (i.e., FSSC22000, SQF, BRC and /or Quality Management system standard) and conduct integrated audits where required as per global procedures, local procedures, guidance and instructing of Food Product Manager/Technical Manager.

• Perform audits against numerous international standards such as International Featured Standard (IFS), Safe Quality Food (SQF), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and the SGS Hygiene Monitored Approval Scheme while delivering on time arrival of audit report.
• Conduct public presentations, training and seminars on specific standards where required.
• Assist in the training of other auditors during planned audits or during other training functions.
• Report any customer complaints, problems and or system deficiencies to the Food Certification management / Technical Manager and Business Manager.
• To participate actively in witness audits.
• Conduct Sales/Marketing presentations of food services and technical advice to those marketing and sale function where required.
• Position may be located anywhere in the U.S.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in food science or bio science is required.
• 3+ year’s work experience and qualified as SQF, BRC and/or FSSC 22000 lead auditor
• At least 3 years work experience of proven management function in food industry.
• Qualified by a GFSI standard to perform 3rd party audit against the standard.
• Minimum 2 years work experience in quality assurance function or food safety management system coordination.

• Strong background and knowledge of technical applications of the standards
• Language Skills: Highest advanced level of English
• Mathematical Skills: Basic level
• Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Basic level
• Excellent communication and interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
• Leadership abilities – ability to Lead a team to achieve a set up goal or complete an audit on time and according to standards
• Proactive attitude and excellent organizational skills
• Effectively reacts in stressful situations and make clear, well-founded decisions regarding conformity during the audit
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects while delivering results on time
• Act with integrity, tact, and character

COMPUTER SKILLS

• MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – Intermediate user proficiency

TRAVEL

Travels up to 80% of the time - Monthly Bonus activated once you've hit utilisation.

Package: Cir. $100,000 base + monthly bonus + other benefits.
