HSC/Tuscan & Company, P.A. in Fort Myers seeks an experienced Auditor to join our assurance team. This role supports planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements for diverse clients, applying solid accounting knowledge and disciplined work habits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.

Responsibilities

  • Perform audit and assurance procedures in accordance with firm standards and professional requirements.
  • Collaborate with staff and management to identify, evaluate, and resolve audit issues.
  • Prepare and maintain clear, well-organized workpapers.
  • Draft financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and engagement team members throughout the audit process.
  • Manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
  • Contribute to delivering high-quality client service and professional excellence.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Auditor to join our growing assurance team. This position is responsible for assisting with the planning, execution, and completion of audit and assurance engagements for a variety of clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform audit and assurance procedures in accordance with firm standards and professional requirements.
  • Work closely with staff and management to identify, evaluate, and resolve audit issues throughout engagements.
  • Prepare and maintain clear, accurate, and well-organized workpapers.
  • Draft financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and engagement team members throughout the audit process.
  • Manage multiple assignments while meeting established deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
  • Contribute to the firm's commitment to delivering high-quality client service and professional excellence.

Qualifications – Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Basic familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications – Preferred

  • Previous public accounting or audit experience.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit and governmental accounting.
  • CPA eligibility or progress toward certification is a plus.
