Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The Senior Accountant will handle various tax, audit, and other assignments as assigned by the Manager. This role requires working independently with minimal supervision, focusing on supervising and mentoring Staff, solving problems, strengthening client relationships, and increasing team profitability. Depending on business needs, some positions may offer remote or hybrid work options; please discuss these with your recruiter.

Your Contributions and Responsibilities
  • Complete tax and/or audit projects with minimal oversight
  • Conduct engagement reviews thoroughly
  • Manage engagements with increasing responsibility
  • Identify potential issues and propose solutions
  • Perform research, analyze data, interpret results, and prepare reports
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships
  • Enhance industry skills through training
  • Manage your time and team efficiently to increase profitability
  • Supervise and mentor Staff Accountants
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Work towards obtaining a CPA license if not already licensed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (advanced degree preferred), with 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or equivalent. CPA exam participation or passing sections is required; CPA license is a plus. Experience in areas like affordable housing, LIHTC, Opportunity Zones, renewable energy credits, and other specialized fields is helpful but not mandatory.
